At Temple Beth El, we place an emphasis on responsibility, leadership, and community during the teen years by creating unique and exciting learning opportunities for students of this age group.

NFTY-BEYG’L (See them on our organizations page here)
BEYG’L is our senior youth group for ninth through twelfth graders, and is associated with the URJ’s (Union for Reform Judaism) NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth) program. BEYG’L will meet primarily during Hebrew High School on Sunday evenings to plan and organize events. Its purpose is this: to help build life-long friendships through fun and social activities and by working together on tikkun olam (repairing the world). Through BEYG’L’s activities, our high school students get to know young people from the larger Jewish community, connecting them to Jewish life outside of Tacoma. BEYG’L is led by an elected and appointed board, and is supervised by youth group advisor Shauna Sobel.
TEMPLE TEENS (See them on our organizations page here)
Temple Teens is a youth group for sixth through eighth grade students. Like BEYG’L, this junior youth group is structured so that students build strong friendships through social and social justice-based activities. Temple Teens is also led by an elected and appointed board, and is supervised by advisor David Snyder.
